The magical Walled Garden School

A retreat for all the senses

We’ve done a few Retreat Day Aways at the Walled Garden School, in Hawarden, North Wales now and they really are a delight and treat for all the senses. A day to reconnect your body and mind with nature.

We usually start the morning with a meet and greet over a hot drink, before donning the boots for a sometimes muddy walk to the beautiful lake or up the hill to the old castle for breath-taking views and some meditation and deep breathing.

Having filled our lungs with oxygen, we head back to our undercover space to get the body moving with some strong but slow-flowing yoga moves.

We’ll have a little break with a hot drink before we get into a yoga workshop to dig a little deeper. These are great, intimate sessions where you can ask questions, get hands on and really learn some helpful techniques to take into your daily life as well as your yoga practice.

This day is suitable for all and we usually have regulars coming back each time, as they love it so much. Don’t just take my word for it.

We finish the day with a delicious, vegetarian lunch from the award-winning Hawarden Farmshop.
