Ashtanga Yoga Chester - Learn Yoga Tricks

Ashtanga Tricks - one-off Yoga Workshop comes to Chester

Monday 25 November, 6-8pm
@Soup Studios, Chester

A Yoga Session in Chester to give you the opportunity to check you're doing certain postures correctly and safely; or explore some more challenging postures to you; this is a great session to dive a bit deeper in terms of your understanding.

We'll go through some of the traditional yoga postures to make sure you understand what you're trying to achieve and how you can correct it

Designed with Ashtanga in mind, this Workshop Yoga Session is also designed for beginners too, who are just wanting to check they are doing things correctly and more importantly safely. It's a good opportunity to actually explore some of the Ashtanga postures, without having to go at an Ashtanga pace!

Suitable for everyone, including beginners

You do not need to have done Ashtanga yoga before.

You can take what you learn in this worrkshop into any other yoga class - whether you do Ashtanga or not, it will all be useful and relevant for any yoga class.

The session will be available live online also for Members. It's the 6pm Monday class but will finish at 8pm.

Ashtanga Yoga on Tuesday evenings is becoming quite the thing! Read why.

We'll be looking at transitions and making vinaysas more efficient and looking at how to start working towards jump throughs and jump backs. You don't need to jump at all but you'll learn the tools to help you progress to them.

Things you’ll learn:

  • Understand better what you’re trying to achieve in each pose

  • Learn how to move safely and protect your body

  • Learn how to use brick blocks to help you progress quicker

  • Chance to explore transitions - ask questions

  • Learn how to buddy up with headstand

  • Learn step by step for making your vinyasas more efficient - working towards jump throughs and jump backs

You can then put all this into practice in the regular, weekly Tuesday evening Ashtanga class.

Tuesdays 6pm - 90 minutes
Come give it a go.

This workshop is half price to Strength for Life members or included as the usual online Monday line online yoga class.
