Teacher Training Workshop Day: Teaching yoga classes to different body types
Ever noticed how some people are just really flexible and other people are super tight. Do you find teaching a class to a mixed audience challenging? Having beginners and advanced yogis in the same class can be a challenge in itself.
In this day-long, teacher training workshop, you’ll learn how to observe and gain a greater awareness of individual body types and their needs.
When: Sunday 9 June 2024
Time: 10am - 4:30pm
At: Soup Studios, Chester
Teaching yoga classes to different body types
You’ll learn how to tailor your approach to individuals to help them identify their needs and priorities in their own bodies; whether that’s recognising imbalances in the body or working with old or current injuries/issues.
This is a great tool to develop and have in your skillset, especially if you’re looking to tailor your teachings to a particular niche audience; or create your own workshop for your students / customers or even to be able to offer 1-2-1s as part of your business offerings.
Please note, this is not an anatomy workshop, but instead a hands-on approach to observing and teaching to different body types to help your students and clients develop themselves and their own yoga journeys, who don’t always have anatomical knowledge.
Overview
Once we start to gain teaching experience, we start recognising that people have different needs and priorities. We simply have different body types. Whether it’s female or male; different ages; or we have old or new injuries / issues that need a little more care and attention.
In this day-long workshop, you’ll learn how to provide helpful modifications to your students and also as individuals to help them feel comfortable in your yoga classes; whilst providing encouraging advice to help them start or progress on their own yoga journey.
This can be a useful workshop if you’re looking to create a yoga offering to a niche audience; or simply have the confidence and knowledge to develop your own workshop for your customers/students or even to deliver regular 1-2-1s, which are all useful revenue streams to add to your business.
